The National Black MBA Association Austin Chapter is delighted to invite you to participate in its Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) Program's Fourth Annual College and Career Expo. The mission of the LOT development and mentorship program is to facilitate growth in academics and leadership, develop strong communication and life skills, improve business and financial acumen, and prepare students for college and professional careers.
The goal is to expose students to extraordinary learning opportunities that motivate them to maximize their leadership potential. The LOT program presents the 2011 College and Career Expo as an exciting event designed to expose local high school students to diverse academic and career paths.
According to a study conducted by the National Center for Education Statistics, students who are more engaged in high school are more likely to undertake further education and to complete a program of study. The LOT program takes a strategic approach to closing the high school engagement gap by offering curriculum that complements traditional classroom activities and builds college and career preparedness. The College & Career Expo is a great example of how we will achieve our goal!

STUDENT ESSAY CONTEST - DEADLINE EXTENDED
To enter the essay contest, please submit a 350 to 500 word essay in response to the following question: “If you had the authority to change your school in a positive way, what specific changes would you make?”
Essays must be submitted to lotaustin.collegeandcareerexpo@gmail.com by 11:00 pm on Wednesday, Nov. 2nd. Students must be present at the College & Career Expo on Saturday, Nov. 5th from 8:45am to 12pm in order to be eligible to win the essay contest.
